They say its my Birthday!

Better late than never a few photos of my first birthday....
I got lots of new toys including a super buggy from Zeyn & Dad - Thanks!!!

My parents got me a vintage wooden horse with wheels which has a little basket on the back to put all my toys in.. cool Also got a great set of ducks for my bath time and a book about ducks. Tim & Raffi got me a really great comfy soft chair and sometimes i sit in it and read. They also brought me a little shopping trolley with loads of goodies in it. My dad says i cant go shopping till i'm 16!

Most importanto- my folks & Zeyno baba took me to the Aquarium where i saw lots of big fish and scary sharks. The turtles were awesome!!!

I have been a little ill for some time with a bad chest and high fever et al
The result is i am not going to nursery any more as the other kids keep making me sick and i've lost loads of weight. Now i'm feeling a little better after a course of antibodies and i'm getting fat again.

anyway enjoy the photos and seasons greetings!!!!

More on a Time to live and a time to die!

Hi Everyone!

I am approaching my first birthday rapidly now - boy am i getting old .... tee heee!!!
I have a little cold, cough, upset tummy, projectile vomit issue atm- due to the other kids at the nursery no doubt - otherwise i am very happy!!! My mother is finishing her first week at John Lewis in Oxfor street - her new exciting job in the Ladies clothing section. My dad wants to go and try on some lingerie...shhh!!!

My dad & i - were just watching a video on youtube by Robert Anton Wilson ( author of the illuminati conspiracy series).
He spoke of his idea of leaving the word 'is' out of sentences and ideas.
This he said would enable us to think more in a scientific manner and teach us about Zen Buddhism.
This seems to be a great idea to learn about zen. Try it for yourself.
The grass 'seems' greener on the other side or the grass 'is' greener.
This 'is' the colour red or this looks red to me!

Also Have you heard of 'The Secret' ? I downloaded a short feelgood video s/he ( the author) has as a freebie and i see s/he has a book out now.
Any ideas what it is about?
I guess the secret of life for me seems to be the realisation that i in this form/body will die eventually! Actually quite soon....
Also my secret to happiness by the way.
All attachments have faded ....

Just want to wish all of those i know who are ill ,all the best, a speedy recovery and good health especially my grandmother and grandfather in South Africa!

As my Uncle Malcolm says : 'Have a great life!'

And condolences to The Rebelo family who have lost Uncle Manny -My dad assures me he was a good man -who i had never met unfortunately.
regards
Kaia

Happy birthday from mama

PRECIOUS GIFT

My Kaia means the world to me!
So much out there for you to see

Id like to take you in my arms
And show you the world and all its charms

As you grow a little day by day
I cant believe its your first birthday!

The day I cherished, those tiny feet
The day you arrived for all to meet

The bond we created from my womb to the day you were born
Is a mother and daughter bind that can never be torn

You are a precious flower and as gorgeous as a rose
You have been specially made to the very tip of your nose

Happy First Birthday!

With all my love,
Mama

My FIRST DAY AT THE NURSERY !!

Hi
I hope you are all well. I am very good. I had a nasty cold recently, that I probably caught off some of the kids at the nursery but am feeling much better now except for a small cough!
I am going to the nursery 2 days a week now to mix with other kids my age ( my dad cant keep up) and paint and sing and dance and do all sorts of exciting things.
The food there is yummy - none of that organic nonsense my parents feed me - and the people there are very nice giving me lots of hugs.
The other children are all very well behaved and it is a very peacefull nursery believe it or not!
It is my birthday on the 28th of Oct - my dad says he will get me a pony!! -(yeah right)
Anyway feel free to leave me a birthday message on this site so i can see them in later years!
Peace - Kaia

Summer - A time to live, a time to die!

Hello
Well summer seems to have been and gone here without trumpeting or a whimper. I'm not quite sure what summer is exactly, but according to my dad its when you feel good most of the time and you dont know why - or is that what happens when you smoke something funny! Will have to ask my Dog father -Bruce - who is appearing on a BBC program atm called tribes- oh no - my dad says thats not him, but it very well could be if he didn't work for the Illuminati.
Anyway I have five teeth now and can bite though stainless steel. I am beginning to eat everything I can see or get my hands on at least. I am balncing now on my own two feet and it wont be long before I am running around causing havock - like Bruce - the movie ' Die Hard' (Now theres another Bruce again) or Sigourney Weaver in 'I fancy Alien Pie!'
We went to Hampstead Heath on one good summers day, although my parents were too useless to take me swimming in the ponds and I'm to small to fit in the Heath rule book which is very BIG!
Anyway attached a few photos of My first paddling pool - My first Shilwar Kamis - My first trip to Hampstead Heath.

All I want for xmas are my two front teeth!!!!

The pic above is of my family from Pakistan -Isha,Vinny & Galla who came to visit recently and have dissapeared in a puff of smoke. lol

Hi
Sorry for not posting so long. My dad has been awfully busy trying to make sure I eat enough and don't hurt myself. He hasnt had much time for anything else! I am starting to crawl- backwards though it may be- I can move around and roll and cause havock when my dad tries to change my nappy! hahahaha!

I have two sharp front teeth now and love to bite peoples noses so watch out! Hope I will be getting some more soon as they are hurting like hell!! Excuse the french. I went to see Fred and Joana yesterday near Kilburn and Fred taught me some French words.

As you can see from the photos I am getting bigger real quick and am very smart. I can also pick things up now with two fingers - mostly pieces of biscuits that I drop! I love watching the cartoon channel these days, but mostly I like going outside and riding around in my pushchair!

I have started to dance to music when I am in the bouncer attched to the door frame. I stand on my toes and swivel around like a bllerina. 'Baba' (steve) says I am going to become a ballet dancer / astronaught / deep sea diver/ mountain climber/ pilot/ rocket scientist - in that order!

ORIGINS

Letter to Kaia from Steve:
I've just been re-looking up the origins and meanings of your names that your mother and I struggled a little to decide on. We used the Internet mostly and that's obviously not the best reference but it might be by the time you are able to read and understand this.
Anyway here is what I found.
Kaia derived from Gaia/Kaya
Kaia-Greek-Pure-from the earth
Estonian-Echo
Hawaiian-The Sea
Nowegian-Blessed-pure-holy
Kaya
American Indian-My Elder sister
Japanese- Restful place -Yew Tree
Zulu-Home
Turkish-Stone
?Forgiveness-wise-child
Uma
Hindi/sanskrit-Mother-flax-tumeric-do not
-one of the names of the god Sakti
-wife of shiva in her guise as light
Hebrew-Nation

Anyway I know I'm talking in your space so I will try not to be too self centered. Just wanted to say that I love you infinitely more than a very, great, much, lot of other things-including myself. You are away now in the states ( or the State of Fear as Michael calls it) but I know you are in good hands and seeing/ experiencing nature/the Goddess/ Mother Urth/ Gaia by the looks of it. Unfortunately I hear you have just had an allergic reaction to something. I hope you are feeling better.

By the picture Ayesha sent it seems you have a puzzled expression. Wondering why I am not there possibly? Well after a month in Thailand i have to pay the rent but i am gutted not to be with you.
You seem to be growing so quickly and I am sorry to miss a second. This was Ayesha chance to show you off as she has to go back to work soon. Hopefully the next trip you will meet my parents and brother in South Africa.

I have planted some wildflowers ( donated by your dogfather Bruce) in the garden and just maybe you will see some flowering when you get back.

Anyway lots of love, Imiss you and your brother and last but not least your wonderful, kind, strong mother and my lover ( sometimes) -Ayesha
Love
s
PS I have found a picture (of what might someday be one of your friends when she was around your age) -Josephine The big fella is your Uncle Daniel who now resides in Vancouver , Canada.

Thanks uncle Bruce for the lovely t-shirt. hahaha!

I think my dad is going to the London boat race today. Although I'm sure they use canoes and come from a place called Oxbridge..

Off to the USA -Hooray

Hi
Yesterday my dad saw us off at the airport.
That is Zeyn, Ayesha and me-Kookoo Kaia.
We are going to LA - California -San Jose ( pronounced Hosay for those who dont know) and somewhere else I cant remember.
Hey i'm only 5 months old.
I am hoping my mother will take me swimming as this is just about the right time when it wont be scary for me!
My teeth are hurting me a little as the first one came out when I was 2 months old and I've got a cold so I hope the flight will not be too unpleasant and I hope Zeyno behaves himself ( although he has just got a nintendo ds2 which ayesha brought for him from thailand.
Just before I left my family put me in a hanging bouncer for the first time.
Wow that is fun!!! It tires me out but then I sleep better.
I miss my dad awfully, but hopefully he will be reading my blog!
I am hoping to put some pics up of my trip as soon as poss.

The early days

Hi
This is the 1st post my dad has put up for me. He is a bit erratic at the best of times, so now that I'm nearly five months old, he has finally decided to start this living history blog for me.
The family has just come back from Thailand - phew was it hot!
Those mosquitoes didn't dare come near near me but bit my mother badly.
The scorpions I ate for breakfast - the only solid food I had apart from bananas and the one coconut that dropped on my head!
All in all it was a great trip although I wish they would go to one place and stay there instead of moving me around so much! It confuses me!
